The members of the Jenks Nature Trail Working Group cordially invite you to join us for our Jenks Nature Trail Re-dedication inaugural activities:

  • The Jenks Nature Trail Re-dedication Ceremony on Saturday, April 7, immediately following the Liberty Pole Capping Pass and Review by the Bedford Minuteman Company (approximately 11:30 a.m.) at the Jenks Nature Trail between the Library and High School. The brief ceremony will feature Bedford’s Citizen of the Year Don Marshall and the unveiling of the new JNT entry sign.
  • The Annual Arbor Day Tree Planting, featuring Tree Warden Richard Warrington at the Jenks Nature Trail the morning of Friday, April 27, time to be announced by Mr. Warrington.
  • The 8th Annual Arbor Day Talk, this year presented by BARC, the Tree Warden and DPW, and the Jenks Nature Trail Working Group, featuring Don Corey telling tales of "Bedford's Shade Tree Legacy: Growing Our Small Town Charm" on  Friday, April 27, at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Multipurpose Room.
  • Also, please enjoy

  • The Arbor Month Display in the Public Library window outside the Children’s Room, all of April, highlighting Charles Jenks, the JNT Nature Trail and Bedford’s shade tree legacy.
  • The Historical Society's Fitch Farm Display in the High School lobby.  You’ll walk right by it on your way to signing in at Annual Town Meeting.
